We adore all of the performers that are participating, as well as the setting and the wine. In the beginning, we were quite excited about this series and loved the first couple of episodes; but, by the third episode, it had become monotonous and at times felt a little too scripted and commercial-like.

The Wine Show is a cutting-edge and practical investigation into the world of wine. Short videos about a range of wine-related themes, ranging from wine fraud to food pairing, are shown in this program. Around the series, there is a special section on Italy, in which the two presenters go to various sites throughout the country in attempt to find a case of wine that best reflects what Italy is all about. Lucy K. says 10 out of 10 I really enjoy this program, despite the fact that I don’t drink wine.
The program is informative, hilarious, and entertaining, all while being surrounded by natural beauty.
Amazing performers and speakers who are quite amusing.
It has also inspired me to experiment with new wines on my own to see if there is a wine out there that I will enjoy.

The Wine Show TV Review Hulu – Two Matthews Have Never Been More Right
There’s nothing I enjoy more on weekends than cuddling up under a blanket that’s so soft it seems like it was fashioned from a thousand kittens, watching gorgeous British guys, and sipping wine in the company of friends. Someone must have heard my prayers, because this post on Hului regarding The Wine Show TV review is blatantly biased in favor of the show. The Wine Show stars two of the most endearing Matthews to ever grace the small screen – Matthew Rhys and Matthew Goode – and it makes me dizzy with glee every time I see it.
- Did you know that on Hulu, there is a whole category dedicated to British television shows?
- Very well done.
- Darcy, from Death Comes to Pemberley) and English actor Matthew Goode (The Good Wife, Downton Abbey, and the charmingly wicked Wickham, from Death Comes to Pemberley), I couldn’t stand the gorgeousness of the actors.
- In order to pass the time, I did what any mature woman who was still a little hormonal would do: I drank some more wine and watched a spy movie to pass the time.
- I know, I know.
- Suspend your disapproval for the time being; when your rug rats are grown and your husband finds a pastime that puts him in the garage for 70% of the time, you will know the happiness I speak of; in the meanwhile, count the days until that day arrives.
- That, on the other hand, would be a monstrous falsehood.
- Okay, the latter I’d be interested in; the former, not so much.
- Yes, we’re talking about the Wine Show TV review.
- They are very fantastic in this series.
- The couple portrays married covert KGB spies who live in the United States.
You won’t be dissatisfied with this purchase. It is possible to catch up on previous seasons on Amazon Prime.) To add to my entire delight in these two great performers, they’re married in real life and have a child together.
The Wine Show TV Review Time There’s Nothing Like a Beautiful Bromance
There is a humorous bromance between the two Matthews that makes the program even more entertaining to watch, and the fact that the show is set in a lovely Italian house doesn’t hurt matters either. The Matthews’ acknowledge to being wine amateurs – which, let’s face it, is something that everyone is, and until you’re a qualified sommelier, I don’t want to hear it unless you’re a certified sommelier. There’s nothing wrong with being a lifelong learner about the wine industry. Isn’t that what I was going for?
- Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer, two lovely experts in their field, will be your guides.
- There are a lot of surprises in store for you when it comes to wine.
- I’m looking forward to trying his wines.
- In the following round, Joe assigns the couple to a little challenge, in which they must discover the finest wine that exemplifies an aspect of Italian wine culture.
- Joe Fattorini purchases a barrel of wine at an auction in a later episode of the series.
- Every vein on his gleaming bald head throbs with nervousness, and you can see it in every vein on his face.
Matthew Rhys and Matthew Goode = Handsome 2Love Drunk with The Wine Show
Despite the fact that they are having a fantastic time sightseeing, the Matthews’ are truly excited to try wine (and who wouldn’t be?). Renting a cottage in the Italian countryside with your closest buddy and driving about in a little Fiat while listening to the GPS give you directions in Italian will become a dream come true. Ahh…bliss. The Wine Show TV does not capitalize on the perceived elitism and mysticism surrounding wine. As they sip their way across the wine country, the Matthews’, who have been friends for years, are finding new tastes, types, and mixes of wine that they prefer as they go.
- Sayings like “Death or Glory?” are complemented with clever comebacks and sharp dry humor.
- Not all of the beverages they consume are pleasurable.
- They are enraged by a $150 bottle of wine, just as we would be if it were our money.
- Among the more expensive gadgets is a $2000 automated decanter that pumps medical-grade oxygen into your wine, allowing you to shorten a two-hour decant period to five minutes.
- I’d budget for the two hours it would take before serving my main meal and put the money down in a retirement savings account.
- Want to see the Mona Lisa’s house, the subject of Leonardo DaVinci’s iconic portrait?
- Watch, you won’t be disappointed, and learn about Chianti Classico’s origins in Tuscany.
- The brilliant thing about this program is that the two Matthews make you feel as though you’re a part of it as they are themselves.
- Aside from that, there are portions that combine wine with food, where the wine is picked first and then the food is chosen to complement it, which is pure brilliance.
- For an alternate white Burgundy, try Bâtard-Montrachet, Domaine Morey-Coffinet 2005 (click here for the recipe), which pairs well with an amazing turbot fish.
- If you don’t already have Hulu, sign up today and start watching The Wine Show TV tonight.
Just reach for a glass and I guarantee you’ll be pleased with your decision. The Wine Show is a rare treat in terms of intelligent, entertaining, and mature television. Allow us to collectively send an email to Hulu, pleading with them to make the second season in Napa and Sonoma a reality.

According to West, who spoke about his role in the series, “I am truly captivated by wine, so I was happy to spend time with James and Joe at Quinta do Noval in the Douro.” Nonetheless, I have to admit that I was envy of all their travels across the world.
There’s no doubt that adding someone of Dominic West’s caliber to the ensemble is a gift.” Portugal has been a long-time dream visit for us, because to its rich history, breathtaking scenery, and underappreciated wine industry.
“I truly believe that this is the finest series to date.”
