For the South Beach WineFood Festival in 2022, tickets will be available for purchase starting today (SOBEWFF). 92 courses, tastings, dinners, parties, and brunches are available from February 24-27 in Miami Beach. Events will be presented by Eva Longoria, Dwayne Wade, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, and fashion model Behati Prinsloo will be among those available. The net earnings from this year’s event will once again go to the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University.
- And, while SOBEWFF 2022 marks the resumption of business as normal, the safety standards established by founder Lee Brian Schrager will remain in place.

Attendees and participants at every SOBEWFF event this year will be required to complete a COVID-related questionnaire on their smartphone before being admitted. The quiz, which is conducted by SymCheck, may be accessed by scanning a QR code (there is no need to download an app) and takes around one minute to finish.
Instructions will be sent with your ticket confirmation, and a reminder will be sent to you 36 hours before your event to remind you of your participation. In addition, the QR code will be displayed in a number of locations. Don’t wait until the last minute to make a decision.
If you Feel Sick, Stay Home
If you’re feeling sick, have COVID symptoms, or have a fever, please stay at home until you feel better. Your tickets are transferable, so feel free to give them to a family member or friend. While the event generally has a stringent no-refund policy, organizers will examine refund requests on a case-by-case basis this year.
Mask Up — and Bring an Extra
You should stay at home if you’re feeling unwell, showing signs of COVID, or have a fever. It is possible to transfer your tickets to a family member or friend if you so want. Don’t Be Tardy to the Party
Sure, Miami is notorious for its “fashionably late” culture, but if you’ve spent $250 to spend two hours eating exquisite cuisine, you want to be able to enjoy the whole two hours you’ve purchased! Keep in mind that the temperature check and health questionnaire may cause a slight delay, so arrive on time. (Even better, arrive a few minutes early!)
Keep a Safe Distance
Despite the fact that the festival does not require guests to maintain a six-foot social distance from one another, organizers are requesting that they do so. When your favorite chef brings out a platter of delectable treats, try to maintain your composure and patience. Keep waiting for your time and don’t hurry through the station – everyone will receive their fair amount of food and drink.

According to the festival’s website, the South Beach WineFood Festival (SOBEWFF) celebrated its 20th anniversary this past May, although it wasn’t always such a large event taking place over a long weekend in South Beach.
At the event, attendees could sample wines from across the world while also enjoying food from local Miami eateries.
The school, which is located in Miami, has been designated as a beneficiary of the event, with all earnings from ticket sales going to the institution in question.

Rachael Ray presented the first Yappie Hour, which was sponsored by her pet food brand, Nutrish, and was shown live on NBC. According to Chewy, the party was attended by both dogs and their owners, who were all dressed to the nines in their best attire.
A fire hydrant-shaped ice sculpture, a gigantic burger-shaped treat tower, and butlers carrying silver trays laden with treats were among the many highlights of this dog-friendly event in New York City.
The annual Yappie Hour was a big hit with dog owners everywhere. As well as Ray, celebrities like as Katie Lee and Ted Allen sponsored the yearly event, which allowed two distinct species to get together and have a nice time in the Florida sunshine on multiple occasions (viaMiami New Times).
Music and food at the Festival

Some musicians and singers have performed at the event after dipping their toes into the world of food and cooking. According to the Miami New Times, some renowned artists that have transitioned into foodies include Rev Run from Run DMC. The musician and ordained preacher is the host of a Cooking Channel show called “Sunday Suppers” and is a frequent festival performer and organizer.
The festival has also offered live performances by some of the most talented artists in the world.
The Chainsmokers performed at the event to commemorate the festival’s 20th anniversary, which took place this past year.
This year’s “Experience” event, hosted by Miami nightlife maestro David Grutman, who runs the LIV nightclub in Miami Beach, will bring in internationally-known DJs to the festival.
The New York City Wine and Food Festival
Shutterstock According to Eater, the South Beach WineFood Festival expanded to the Big Apple in 2007 with the inaugural annual New York City WineFood Festival (NYCWFF), which was held in Times Square. Some of the most popular activities from the South Beach WineFood Festival, such as the Burger Bash and Grand Tasting Village, were reimagined for the New York audience during the multi-day festival. Specifically for New York, events such as the Broadway Brunch, which included performances by performers from the Broadway stage, were organized.

In a departure from last year’s Burger Bash, co-hosted by celebrity chefs José Andrés and Rachel Ray, this year’s Burger Bash will be divided into two sessions to reduce the number of diners crammed beneath the white big-top tents on the sand.
The overall number of attendees will be limited to 45,000, an increase from approximately 20,000 last year but a decrease from the customary 60,000.
At the annual top-dollar tribute event, which will be hosted by past honoree José Andrés, a chef who has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, Fieri will also be recognized as the honored chef.
Events will be staged nightly in Miami’s affluent Design District this year, allowing the festival to expand its reach farther inland this year.

However, it will appear drastically different in 2021 than it has in previous years, as will almost everything else.
Ultimately, though, the show must go on.
Here’s all you need to know about what to pack, what to wear, and all of the events that are available for every appetite and every financial situation.
In terms of attendance, the festival will be smaller than it has been in previous years, but it is by no means a low-budget production in comparison to previous years. The events take place throughout more than three counties, stretching from as far south as Coral Gables to as far north as Delray Beach. However, in keeping with its moniker, many of the world’s most important events continue to take place on South Beach and in the surrounding area. However, while being on time is something that the majority of people in South Florida have never heard of, it is important to note that the activities begin and conclude exactly when they say they would.
Speaking of beverages, taking them out the door after an event is strongly discouraged and may result in legal consequences for the individual involved.

Getting There, the Elements, and What to Bring
In the first place, everyone attending the festival must complete theSymCheckapp before they arrive, certifying that they have either had a negative COVID-19 test within the preceding 72 hours or that they have been properly vaccinated against the virus. At each event, you will be required to provide a SymCheck QR Code. If you plan on attending events on several days, keep in mind that the code is only valid for 24 hours and will need to be re-entered for each event. While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently relaxed mask requirements for those who have had all of their vaccinations, the festival has maintained its no-mask ban.
- In the event that you forget your mask, the festival will supply disposable ones for you.
- Ladies, please do everyone a favor and leave your high heels at home while attending any beach-related event.
- Sandals are the most appropriate footwear for you.
- As for the weather, with temperatures anticipated to be in the mid-80s for much of the week, make sure you dress appropriately – it’s going to get hot!
- In other words, no event will be canceled as a result of inclement weather, and no refunds will be offered.

Grand Tasting Village 101

Weekends of wine tasting are scheduled for Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 at the Grand Tasting Village. Every day, more than 30 restaurants provide free meals, while a variety of various wine and alcohol providers provide limitless tastings of their products. To top it off, there will be a range of culinary demonstrations including everyone from Giada De Laurentiis to Marcus Samuelsson, as well as lots of interactive activities and book signings to keep people entertained.

Guests may explore Delray Beach Market, the state’s largest food hall, during the inaugural event, or fill up on sushi selected by the Succulent Bite at Rockin Sushi, which will be open for the first time this year. The festival’s 20th anniversary will be marked with a SOBEWFF 20th Anniversary Celebration, which will be hosted by Martha Stewart and David Grutman and feature a surprise musical performance by a local band.
Every evening, at least one large-scale tasting event is held on the premises. The weekend will begin with theItalian Bites on the Beachon Thursday, May 20, hosted by Giada De Laurentiis, and will conclude with theHeineken Burger Bash, hosted by Bobby Flay, on Friday, May 21, to kick off the weekend. With a session on Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22, the always swankyBest of the Bestis divided into two evenings this year, whileBubbleQmakes its triumphant return to the beach on Saturday, May 21, with the Mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri.
Events Under $100
It is not necessary to spend a fortune to take part in the celebrations. The popular Art of the Tiki tiki cocktail extravaganza, newcomer Croquetas and Craft Cocktails, and the kid-friendlyFun and Fit as a Family are all among the booze-centric events that offer tickets for under $100. The annualBuddhas and Bellinisyoga event, as well as a Bootcamp and Bitesclass hosted by Robert Irvine, provide opportunities to get some exercise in over the weekend.

This year’s edition was the final big South Florida festival held before the COVID-19 epidemic, which shut down the world barely two weeks after the festival’s closing event in February of last year.
